There are companies who stand by the warranties they promote when they sell you their product, and then, in my opinion, there are companies like Champion who use delay tactics to waste your time when you actually want their product to work like they claimed when they sold it to you. Here’s my story: We bought 10 windows from Champion a few years ago for an East-facing wall. Wind / rain out of the East is very rare here, but the first major one caused 10 out of 10 windows to leak into my living room. This is July 27th. Bubbles all under my paint full of water due to their faulty installation.Annoying but still under the warranty time period. I never expected them to cover the drywall / paint / insulation damage this caused, but I did expect them to fix their broken window installation. We call the next day (July 28th) and are told someone will get back to us. On August 3rd, we are told no one can come out til October 18th. Insane. 10 out of 10 windows are leaking.Their guy comes out and immediately says the windows were installed incorrectly. I have this on my security camera video. He said they did not pitch below the windows in a way the water would run away from the house. Rather it pooled and leaked into my house. This is Champion’s inspector! His phrase on my video is “installer mishap.” He said they would follow up with us. Remember it’s currently October 18th.No one called us back. We messaged them on November 4th and they finally called back on November 10th, with their employee saying it’s not considered “warranty work” and that they would want to charge us for fixing it and for the “trip charge” of the guy who came out previously.It’s clear to me they would rather not honor what their own employee said was their mistake, and honestly just hope I go away. How else to explain their delay from us calling on July 28th to the nonsense resolution call on November 11? I just want the windows I paid for to function correctly. I would like to hear from Champion with their plan to fix these windows. Instead of me chasing them down then waiting another month to hear back.If I don’t hear from Champion after this, I’m sending this message to our state’s Attorney General.
