1. Good price for good windows compared to milguard windows. Champion was 9k or so for 8 windows while milguard was 8.2k or so.2. Windows are really good windows, they are heavily insulated and have very nice weep holes and maintenance. Cleaning them is very nice and easy. Screens are absolutely fantastic.3. Our contractor had to fight with champion because they were going to install my upper windows without using a nail fin installation. The rest of the windows (downstairs) had window frames so they were pocket installs but the top floor windows did not have a frame but champion wanted to do a pocket install which would be an incorrect installation. If they had done a pocket install on the top floor, the waterproof would have lasted much less time and water would have penetrated the house quicker.This is according to a licensed and seasoned contractor, cutting edge contracting.Champion eventually bought nail fins for cutting edge contracting to do the upper floor installation while they did the windows downstairs. Champion did not deduct the price of the upper window installation even though cutting edge contracting did it for them. 4. Almost all of the caulk on the windows failed and cracked within a week or two. We called champion and they said although they could send out guys to install our windows, they could not send guys out to repair the caulk due to Covid19. Kind of odd but whatever.5. One of the installers was definitely still in high school (16 years old or so).His caulking job failed within a week or two. They also left him (a minor) alone at our house to do it.I don't want kids doing work on my house no offense, it is just not for me.
