We have recently placed two orders for slat wall panels (3 working days apart) with C&I after switching from an alternative supplier. I had previously purchased from them a couple of times and never had issues.
However, this time we have had nothing but delays and poor customer service. C&I advertise on their website that their internal logistics team will have your delivery with you within 3-12 working days. A day or so AFTER purchasing the panels you then get contacted by their customer services team to let you know the lead time is actually 7-20 working days so at worst case 1.5 weeks later than they advertise online.
After complaining about the first order I then needed to place an order for the 2nd batch as I realised I needed to get this order in early if their lead time was extended, to this I was then advised by a customer services agent that due to the delay with the first order they would see if they could get both orders delivered at the same time (18/02). I heard nothing further from the advisor so believed this had been arranged.
Come to today, one order has been delivered and the other order is nowhere to be seen, I contact C&I to get an update to be told I won't have the 2nd order till 24/02. I question why I was never updated by the CS advisor that they had not managed to get the 2nd order to me any earlier and had just been left in the dark. Probably because they knew I was angry about the first order and would be fuming had they come back to advise me the 2nd order was also going to be outside the 3-12 days that they advertise.
Was looking at using these guys as my permanent supplier for this slat wall product as the actual product is high quality and easy to fit, but their logistics and customer service are appalling. Having a look at other recent reviews it looks like I am not the only one having issues with C&I's customer service and logistics.
