I ordered black Forrest eggless cake well in advance. New Lynn branch Auckland. This was a gift for one of my family members. What a disappointment. No one including the kids ate the cake. The cake tasted too salty and some guests even tasted lumps of sodium bicarbonate. That gave them extreme burning hot sensation in their mouth. When went to store the next day. The baker said the cake is fine and that’s how eggless cakes taste. We buy from you all the time but your cakes never tasted this bad ever before. The baker said she will not refund or replace the cake. She however kept the cake that we returned. So we ended up paying you guys for ruining our event and the next day too. The baker did not take our details neither did she ask for our name or receipt. She just said she will report this to head office. This is terrible customer service and very bad after sales service. We now feel that we got robbed in day light. The cake given to us was certainly not “the cheese cake shop” quality. They probably bought some cheap cake from the supermarket. Or May be you have now lowered your quality so much for us not to buy from your shop anymore. The cake was so dry and hard.
