Absolutely gutted. Went to the new shop at the everton stadium and purchased myself the sealander c63. A few weeks later i decided to upgrade the strap which i purchased through the website.
Upon arrival of the new strap, i took it out the box, measured it and realised its the wrong size so i contacted customer service and they advised they will swap it.
When the label arrived i sent the watch back. 2 weeks later i recieve and email saying that the strap was 'damaged' and i need to put an additional 20% towards the new strap. The strap doesn't fit the watch and never got worn, it also never touched a surface on anything to potentially scuff the strap. I'm absolutely outraged over the whole thing. This is just a ploy to scam their customers out of a couple extra quid. It's not about the money, it's principle, i sent back a strap in perfect condition and i informed CW a few hours after receiving it that it was the incorrect strap.
I'm in absolute shock that they would try this, this is something you would expect from a back street watch dealer. The whole experience has seriously ruined my experience my off the brand and their watches. Don't buy from CW, great watches but a horrendous company to deal with. Spend your money on another micro brand, don't support these con artists.
Customer service also sending snotty emails and refusing to talk to me on the phone after calling several times.
