I made 2 orders at this shop.The first was a small order, just to find out if everything would work out well. This was the case, except for the delivery date, that was not communicated, so I had to rush back home from work because I got an automatic mail on the day of delivery … but such things can happen. Nice and healthy fish were delivered, so I was happy.I decided to make a second (and larger) order … and when I checked their Facebook page, If found out that I won an auction : a trio Xenotilapia nigrolabiata ! Nice (and relatively expensive) fish ! When I wanted to order, I saw that they were no more available at the webshop, so I decided to wait with the order, in the hope they would become available again. In their auction regulations is clearly stated that you can wait, or replace the fish with another species for a similar value. After several weeks of waiting, they were still not available, so I decided to replace them by 4 Xenotilapia papilio, and pay the difference on top. Together with this free fish, I ordered other fish for a value of about 280 Euro … and as soon the payment was done, the troubles started. It took several e-mails (and more reminders) to eventually agree a delivery date for this order. I took a day off at work and … nothing arrived ! After an e-mail to ask what went wrong I got a reply ‘hum weird Iet me see’, and without any further communication, a few days later I got an automatic generated message that on that day, the fish will be delivered … so a rush again at work to be at home in time to receive the order. Big dissapointment … the box contained only the 4 Xenotilapia, and 3 unidentified Victoria cichlids (I ordered some Victoria cichlids for a friend, but not the species in the box …). So nothing in the box of the extra order …I send them again some e-mails / reminders and messenger messages but untill now … no answer … seems like Cichlids Import ripped me off for a value of 280 Euro !!!After some research on the internet I could find more similar bad reviews. This shop is nothing more than a ‘sales platform’ in France (owned by Benjamin Saadoun) that ‘uses’ (you can better say abuse) a well known German Cichlid breeding center – Cichliden Stadel. You order at Cichlids Import, and Stadel does the work … Cichlids Import is just there to cash your money, and mess up the order ...It seems that the owner of Cichlids Import (it is a ‘one person company’) is trying to push sales on a flashy website and fancy Facebook page (auctions, free shipping, new imports … just to get more likes). It was better that he would take a little more care for customer support … Cichlids Import exist a bit more then a year, but it seems that such a business is not going to be a long term business …So, save a lot of money, troubles and frustration, and order directly at Stadel (or other renown cichlid sellers that are in this business for several decades as AquaHaus Gaus, Aquatreff, Jayant Cichlids, Isabi.de, ... ) to avoid problems !
