Claim Denial: I initiated a claim with Cinch Home Warranty Service for a failed Sump Pump. They hired a contractor to investigate. They sent a plumber who works for Action Mechanical Services. This plumber stated and informed Cinch that it was not my primary sump that has failed. It was my battery backup sump pump instead. Cinch calls me to inform me my claim has been denied because of this. Thr plumber leaves my home. My basement begins to flood immediately afterwards!!! I call Cinch back to tell them if my primary is working why is my basement flooding. They tell me the claim is denied and there is nothing they can do.
I hired my own plumber from a different company to investigate.
Sure enough, the primary pump had a bad float. This company is Swift Plumbing & Remodeling.
I am truly disappointed in Cinch in denying my claim for my primary pump.
Especially without confirming that the primary pump was indeed good to go by sending someone else to confirm.
And again, it was not.
Instead, as they stated. There is nothing they can do.
So I got the primary sump inspected by new contractor and contracted them to replace myself. The primary pump did fail and Cinch keeps talking to me about the backup pump. Only because of the contractor they sent to my home.
