We've been listening since it started in early 90s. The station has now been ruined by constant gambling ads and presenters encouraging gambling all day long. They should be ashamed. Founder Michael Barry must be turning in his grave. Globalist Network has a lot to answer for. Disgraceful organisation. 😈
I've shared my enjoyment before and rated it 4 stars. I mentioned that I turn off the radio during the ads, but I grew tired of that. I started switching to another station whenever the commercials aired. It's refreshing to enjoy a mix of music without the annoying ads. Sadly, I've decided to stop listening. The incessant promotion of their cash call competition is repetitive and intrusive. This has been ongoing for months, with a new 'life-changing prize' every week. The company has millions of listeners, and it must be profitable for them. Will this ever end? After years of listening to Classic FM, I've finally had enough and will be tuning into another station.
What was once a fantastic radio channel has been taken over. Over the holidays, the promotion of gambling to win 'life-changing amounts' was the last straw. It seems this will be a daily feature now, and every presenter appears thrilled to share this with us. We've tolerated the decline in quality, but enough is enough. The only way to express this is to stop listening.
What has happened to Classic FM? It used to be a station that offered peace and tranquility in a chaotic world. I've switched it off again, as the music feels more suitable for a funeral. The constant presence of certain presenters and their non-classical selections is disappointing. Such a pity.
The Cash Call ruined my holidays. It's everywhere! It doesn't appeal to the best instincts in people. If it were for charity, that would be acceptable, but it feels like a money-making scheme. I hoped it would cease by New Year, but it seems to be a regular occurrence now. While I generally enjoyed the music and most presenters, I can no longer support this. I've deleted the app and switched to another station.
