I wanted a rug. I used Clear Pay because I needed it quickly but am a bit skint. The transaction with Wayfair failed. I found the money had been taken from my account by clear pay. So I paid for something, but no order.Clear Pay is manned by the usual suspects - people who don't read or understand what your Issue is unless it fits into their scripts. You get the usual pre-scripted replies while you try to phrase things in a way they will comprehend. They can't refund me for reasons best known to themselves so I can't order another rug.I have provided them with all the evidence and yet they (who?) are having to review it all. It seems we are very much at the mercy of the robots and other tech. Wayfair can't do anything - they can't cancel a non-existent order. Apparently it is called a ghost order, so not unknown - but they have no protocols or systems to override it. So this bad review is for the utter uselessness of a company that has allowed technology to take over completely. I am being pinballed between Clear Pay, Wayfair and the bank. Of course, the humans can't do anything.I now can't buy a rug anywhere in case this order does eventually go through. As the postage is an eyewatering £45, I have no desire to be charged for that twice and face the hassle and expense of having to return one of them. So, I wait for the robots to make a decision. I am really fed up and will never use Clear Pay again, not because of the initial problem, but because of their inability to do anything about it.
