Although the company states their vision is to enable people with disabilities to be able to independently look after their toileting needs, I believe their vision is to charge extortionate pricing for servicing and repair. As my toilet was faulty and outside the warranty, they wanted nearly £300. To fix the problem and any breakdown within the next year, though no service would be included. I had no choice but to pay, but when I asked for the exact price it was over £360 as they didn't include vat on the quote. Heads up, if you have a disability, you can request they send you an exemption form, they are not forthcoming with this information which I feel is wrong. Most disabled people struggle on a low income and closomat, like many disabled equipments suppliers, think it's ok to overcharge as they have few competitors. I might add that after this first year of warranty renewal, you can purchase a 3 or 5 year warranty with optional monthly direct debit, for a much lower price! This is outrageous, but they won't allow you this cheaper option for the first year. The only saving grace for closomat is that the service engineers are very nice.
