I took out a so-called ‘fortnightly membership’ with Club Lime. It turned out that actually one month’s written notice was required to cancel. I was given incorrect information about this by a staff member when I tried to cancel while heavily pregnant - they told me I could suspend instead of canceling (when my child was born) and subsequently cancel if I didn’t want to come back. In fact I had to reinstate the membership and pay for another month to complete the notice period. When I complained I never received a response, despite following up twice over three months. I’ve reported them to ACCC.
