I’ve had a very frustrating experience with Club Pilates in Palm Coast and feel it’s important to share it for anyone considering a membership.
First, scheduling classes is extremely difficult. The studio only has 12 reformers available per class, which means spots fill up quickly and it becomes nearly impossible to get into classes that work with a normal schedule. For a membership-based studio, there should be better availability or a more reliable way for members to access the classes they’re paying for.
Another issue is the constant turnover in management. It feels like management changes frequently, and with each change the communication and policies seem to shift. This lack of consistency makes it hard to resolve issues or get clear answers when problems arise.
My biggest concern, however, is the cancellation policy and how it was handled in my situation. I am on call for work, and when I signed up I specifically explained that I may occasionally need to cancel last minute because of my job. I was told that if this happened, I could simply call the studio and they would waive the late cancellation charge.
Unfortunately, that was not honored. Even when I called as instructed, I was still charged. When I tried to address it, the issue was not resolved. Because the charges continued despite the agreement that had been made with me, I ultimately had to shut off my card to prevent additional charges.
Overall, the experience has been disappointing. Between the difficulty scheduling classes, the frequent management changes, and the cancellation policy not being honored as promised, it has not felt like a fair or customer-focused experience.
