I purchased access after clicking on a Google ad, but it turned out to be only the PRO plan. Later, I found out there is a more expensive "Ultimate" plan, which I did not want to pay for. If I had known the total cost beforehand, I would have chosen Codecademy instead. The PRO plan also has a limited number of courses.

So far I am pretty pleased with the coding and excel training for upskilling in productivity areas that I need to succeed in my career. Going to give this 90 days to see if I make tangible improvements as compared to my baselines before starting.

I didn’t use your service, and forget to cancel the subscription. You charged me for three months, and I had agreed to that initially. I didn’t use the service, and I forgot that I had to paid for it until I got an alert that my card was charged for it. I asked you for my money back, and codefinity responded that I had agreed to cancel 24 hours in advance so I wouldn’t be charged. So the charge stands. I get it - and I have cancelled my subscription for the future.
Some companies, not yours, inform their customers that they will be up for renewal a few days before they are charged. That is a more humane approach, as people often forget they have signed up for subscriptions they don’t use and the thought to cancel something they haven’t used doesn’t come to mind.
Your practice puts the cancellation solely in the customer’s hands, and maybe that’s where the onus lies? Caveat Emptor. And yet it seems less compassionate than predatory, as Codefinity benefits from the customers forgetfulness (and you COULD know that someone isn’t using your services before you charge them. The data is available if you deigned to look at it.) Other companies, more ethical companies, show that your predatory practice, while technically “legal”, is injustice and corporate greed wrapped in a “legal” justification. Reminder aren’t a common practice, but they should be.
Buyer Beware.

Helpful error explanations

The error explanations are very useful. It's crucial to read all instructions until you reach 'Task,' as it clarifies things significantly. :)
