I never review, but I'm so frustrated with this company's fraudulent business practices (good luck trying to actually identify a real company behind this scam) that this is my third review. After being scammed into a hidden subscription model like so many customers before me, I noticed the following: Some of the positive reviews caught my attention and I would like to share my concern around what is clearly additional scammy behavior: check out the number of generic copy/paste reviews such as "just received the package, can't wait to give this wonderful Christmas gift to my parents" posted after December and while you're on it double check the amount of times the books are referred to as "wonderful keepsake". Not very creative fake reviews and I will continue to write. :)
I am very disappointed with the service. The book was interesting and well-crafted in Spanish. However, they obscure your automatic subscription and charge you around $30 each month unless you cancel. When I contacted the support team, they just referred to the terms and conditions. I'm quite frustrated.
They enroll customers in a misleading subscription when purchases are made on their site. There’s no disclosure of any trials or requests for consent during the order process for books, and then a month later, they charge for a fraudulent ‘Family community membership.’ When requesting a refund and highlighting this issue, they provide a link suggesting that the customer failed to cancel a free trial, attempting to mislead the customer into thinking it was an oversight while they are actually trying to take advantage of you. I disputed the charge with my bank, but I lost $70. They operate like a scam. Avoid buying from them or any of the names they might change their website to, such as ‘Collective books’ or ‘Your legacy.’ If you’ve faced similar issues, please report them to the relevant authorities!
I was in search of a special present for my mom as my son is due in a few weeks. This was precisely what I was looking for—she’s going to cherish this keepsake and the opportunity to share her story through the journal. It’s a gift for her now, and for my son when he grows up. Thank you!
There are many "extras" included that ultimately have no value. They attempt to lock you into a subscription for a supposed "free community" without sending any reminders to cancel before you're charged $34.99 per month. When I requested a refund just two days after the charge appeared on my credit card, they refused to accommodate me. The book and pen I received were of poor quality, contrary to what was advertised. I will not be purchasing from them again.
This is a complete scam; the books are marketed as exceptional, and while the ideas seem promising, they are merely basic AI-generated content that holds no real value. Additionally, when you buy a book, they impose a pointless subscription to a community that is difficult to cancel. Their terms and conditions lack clarity, and the support team fails to address any issues.
I am extremely let down by this service. I ordered two books that might be wonderful, but, like many others have noted, I was unexpectedly enrolled in and charged for an online subscription. When I reached out for a refund, the support team was very evasive, and their response was filled with so many emojis that it was overwhelming. They refused to consider my refund request, despite being able to see that I hadn't used the subscription yet. They repeatedly mentioned that I could explore the website to see how fantastic it is, but I’m not interested. The website also does not display honest reviews, as the ratings there are significantly different from what I see here. I wish I had discovered this site before falling victim to this situation. I had intended to purchase additional books for family members if they were good, but that’s no longer the case! I am extremely frustrated with this service.
The books are decent, but the major issue with this service is that they enroll you in a paid subscription under the guise of a 30-day free trial without your consent, and then charge your card after a month. I was shocked to see a -29.99€ charge for something I never agreed to. I can’t recommend them for this reason.
I chose to gift my parents each a journal a few days ago. While I’m unsure if they’ve begun writing in them, they were genuinely moved and pleased with the present. I recorded the unboxing experience but didn't capture any photos. I'm excited to uncover their stories and secrets.
