My wife broke her Femur in an accident at home and was taken to our local A+E in an ambulance where she spent 24hrs before being admitted into a ward prior to an operation to fix the break. All this was 5 days before we were due to fly out to Majorca on a long-awaited holiday, obviously I had to cancel the holiday and then submitted a claim under my Travel Insurance. I must admit after reading some of the negative Trustpilot reviews my heart did sink, but after 4 weeks I did receive confirmation that my claim would be settled (minus the Air Passenger Duty Tax – apparently not covered) and payment was received in my Bank very quickly. I could suggest something it would be that the associated claim handler dealing with your claim make themselves known to you in a personal email with their contact details and an approximation of the timescales involved processing your claim.
