Took out travel insurance with so i thought post office
On second day of my holiday in Tenerife taken to hospital after collapsing at hotel had to raise case number when then came into contact with Collinsons.

Start of my nightmare dealing with this company
After 5 days of trying to get my case validated and with hospital bill rising decided to bay bill myself(17400 euros) discharge myself and return to Uk
and go to nhs.
Submitted my claim and after again much delay(have had contact with at least 16 people)told i had not declared 9 pre existing medical conditions.The majority of these are tests advised by my doctor when NFA was required example bowel cancer screening.
Feel Collinsons have used the above to offer a derisory % of my total claim
BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN TAKING OUT POST OFFICE INSURANCE.

Extremely Disappointed with the Service

My wife and three other family members had to cancel our trip to Japan in mid-May 2026 on the advice of her doctor due to serious health issues. The other family members received their refunds from their respective travel insurance providers. I purchased my travel insurance from a certain company, with underwriting handled by another firm. On December 4, 2025, I received an email confirming that they were satisfied with the submitted documents and that my refund would be processed within five working days via bank transfer. As of January 15, 2026, I am still waiting for my refund. Before Christmas and during the first few days of January, I called them three times, speaking to three different representatives. Each one assured me that the funds would be transferred within five working days, but I have yet to see any refund. Yesterday, I spoke with a female team member from the underwriting company. She was sympathetic and understanding, stating that her line manager was busy but that she had urgently messaged him about my refund. She promised to confirm this via email and said the line manager would also reach out to me. I have received no response at all. What kind of staff does this company hire? What is the line manager doing in the claims department? Why hasn’t my substantial refund been sorted out? I strongly advise against purchasing travel insurance from this company, and if you find that the underwriters are the same, avoid them at all costs. They have been a nightmare to deal with in my experience. I will follow up with them today to see what they say. Due to their poor performance, I have rated them with only 1 star.

Extremely Disappointed with the Service

I booked a flight from Gatwick to Sofia to visit my sick son using the company's recommended insurer. Unfortunately, the flight was diverted and, after a long wait on the plane, it was ultimately cancelled. The real trouble began when I tried to contact the insurer to explain the situation. After three days of waiting on hold for hours, I finally reached someone, but the customer service was rude and ended the call abruptly. I filled out their online form, but they made it clear that the coverage I expected wouldn’t apply in this case. Despite cancellation being listed as covered, they still denied my claim. Additionally, my bag was delayed. Today, I received an email stating my claim was declined. I would strongly advise against using this insurer; they seem more interested in taking your money than assisting with claims. It's simply a waste of funds.

Extremely disappointing insurance experience.

This insurance is the worst. I strongly advise against using it. I missed my flight because the motorway was closed due to a serious accident. Nearly a year has passed, and despite submitting numerous documents and clear evidence regarding my missed flight, I still haven't received a decision!

Absolutely appalling

Absolutely appalling. I wasted months requesting more and more evidence, only to have my claim rejected in the end. They told me it was 'VOID'—why not inform me of that from the beginning instead of after six months? This is a COMPLETE SCAM. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS; you've been warned!

I was truly impressed by how simple it was to file a claim. The case handler managed my claim efficiently over the phone and processed the payment immediately. This provider truly excels in customer service, offering great products at competitive prices. I would wholeheartedly recommend them, even for vehicle inspections.

The claiming process was made as difficult as possible. They requested information from a doctor who hadn’t seen me in six months and had no relevance to the reason I couldn’t travel.

After submitting a legitimate claim for being stranded in another country for two days due to several canceled flights, incurring hotel expenses, this company made a laughable offer and dismissed my incurred costs. NEVER use this provider or their adjusters for your travel insurance.
