I change my provider from community fibre to ee broadband,I sent their equipment back 15days before the final bill was processed as requested,my final bill was £13.08, I called and confirmed they had the equipment and that was all I had to pay then on the 9th April 2026, the decided to help themselves to £109.08 from my account,10th April 2026 spoke to customer services demanding my money back and was told it could take a further 10days to refund what they shouldn't have taken, not good enough, I called my bank explained what had happened, got my £109.08 back into my account sameday do not believe it when they say you must wait under the direct debit agreement companies are NOT allowed to help themselves to YOUR money then make you wait until there ready to pay you back what they should never have taken,disgusting behaviour. I am now awaiting a paper bill to pay £13.08 as direct debit was cancelled immediately, such a shame as they were a good provider i just got a better deal with ee that suited my needs
