Westjet cancelled our return flight from France to Canada. No way out for 3 days at the end of a busy summer!Upon our return, we made a complain with them. After a few days, they denied our request for compensation, because it was an 'unscheduled maintenance'. They did not cover our expenses due to that cancelled flight: hotel, taxi, food and phone bills.We decided to google another way to get our compensation. Compensair was one of the first company that popped up, so we tried.We entered basic information on their user-friendly website (names, flight, proof of flight payment...), then they contacted us via the Whats app to chat live, which was really useful. We were able to follow the status of our application for compensation on the website. As announced, it took almost 2 months for the process to be done, but when it did, we got a substantial amount back, even with the 15-20% commission that the company takes. The compensation was sent directly to our bank account after providing a copy of our ID and our bank information within days.We got 2/3 back of our 2 full flight purchase, way more than expected!Next time we get a flight issue, we are coming right back to Compensair. :)
