In February, I had approximately $5,000 worth of dental work done at Island Dental, located at 5011 Geary Blvd., San Francisco. In March, your staff member, Coral, ordered a sleep apnea mouth guard for me. This mouth guard consists of upper and lower plastic mouthpieces, connected by a 1-inch rubber band with two hook holes.Initially, Coral provided me with yellow bands, but later decided to stretch my jaw further by supplying blue bands. On April 17, I visited your office due to the hooks on each guard coming off. Coral informed me that I needed an appointment, and reluctantly took the guard from me. However, when I received the repaired guard, the top piece still did not fit correctly over my upper teeth. The total cost of the mouth guards was $600, and I requested a refund due to the defective product. Coral refused to issue a refund and, after repeated requests, she asked me to leave the premises or face police intervention. Reluctantly, I left with the defective mouth guard in my possession.
