I ordered a bed and mattress from the DIVAN BED WAREHOUSE on 16/03/21 and they said it would be delivered on 30/03/21 between 9am - 12pm. They turned up 50 minutes late at 12:50 which was no big deal, just a bit rubbish that I hadn’t been told that. I dragged the bed base, mattress and headboard into my flat. After fitting every together, I just had the headboard to do. On unwrapping it and placing on the bed base, I could see it was too wide. It protruded from the base and the holes on the base for fitting the head board to, were 3 inches too short. On the packaging, I noticed it had a woman’s name, a postcode for Reading, and a description on the head board, colour, design and a measurement of 4ft 6, saying it was a double. The bed I ordered was a small double, 4ft wide. Obvious to me it was the wrong one. I emailed THE DIVAN BED WAREHOUSE and said they’d delivered the wrong one. They insisted, although it had different information on the label, it was definitely the correct HB. So then I had to get it back into the bedroom and take pictures to prove I was correct and they were wrong. With picture evidence, the finally admitted I was correct and that they would sort out a redelivery. That redelivery was supposed to be today. I had an email/text saying it would be between 12:00 and 15:00. They called me at 10am to tell me this also.So I waited... At 18:00 I still hadn’t received the item. So I wrote a text to the driver I assume and an email to THE DIVAN BES WAREHOUSE. At 18:28 the driver finally called. He asked me if my headboard was damaged. I told him, how on earth would I know if it’s damaged, as he hadn’t delivered it. He said it got damaged on the van and would have to order another one. After waiting in all day for this I told him how unprofessional he/they are, which of course he didn’t like. He started being rude and argumentative with me. I said I didn’t want to speak to him anymore and to send me an email when he decides to ‘attempt’ to deliver the head board. No, “The customer is always right” attitude. I was the one having to deal with this incompetence and he was in no way apologetic. I find it incredible how people can do business like this.
