Review Time
Opening the fixed rate account was stressful and took around 2 months to receive confirmation of acceptance. During this time I was repeatedly told that it was due to the high number of applications but as a customer you begin to think it is some other reason such as fraud by someone on your credit score. I have to say that whilst the application seemed ridiculous the customer service staff were always professional and tried to help out where they could. I am relieved that the process is over and the account is open.
Like a lot of these 1 star reviews I have been very frustrated. I applied for an account in early November and after some 'holding' emails from Conister and some chasing by me I have received an email that offers to open the account - 7 weeks later. I have seen Conister's responses to these poor reviews, saying they will learn from the bad experiences people have reported, but who knows how long that will take. I will have to decide if I trust putting my money in their hands. Maybe it is just the opening process, but it is no way for a bank to introduce itself.
