Connex Education - The Epitome of False Promises

If you're looking for an agency that will waste your time and leave you high and dry, look no further than Connex Education. From the get-go, they dangled the carrot of full-time work in front of me, hounding me to complete all necessary training and references ASAP. They painted a picture of seamless entry into multiple schools with guaranteed hours.

But what did I get? One single shift, followed by a complete blackout in communication. Emails went unanswered, calls were dodged, and I was left hanging with no explanation. When I finally managed to get in touch, the excuse was there's "no work in Birmingham for Teaching Assistants." Suddenly, the agency that promised the moon couldn't even deliver a speck of dust.

This isn't about just one bad experience; it's a pattern of deceit. Connex Education is only interested in boosting their numbers to meet internal targets, not in providing real employment opportunities. They'll sign you up, make you jump through hoops, and then abandon you.

If you value your time and sanity, steer clear of Connex Education. They're not here to help you; they're here to help themselves. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for genuine employment support.

The company still owe me money for work I did in November. They are ignoring messages and calls and yet still calling me daily to see if I want work. Having worked for a variety of agencies I really would not recommend Connex Nottinghamshire at all!

Wonderful company - Sam and Holly my contacts are very professional and can place you in some exceptionally good schools in the north Cheshire area.I have worked for other agencies previously and not been as satisfied as I have with the way I feel they have made the effort to get to know me and my skills 👍🏻

Fantastic Warrington team

My personal experience with the Connex Warrington office has been really fantastic, from getting registered to finding work placements. All the staff are really great. Sam has been exceptional. Her communication is amazing. Sam has managed to find me a current placement, very local and with regular hours at the moment,which fit perfectly for me as I can only work certain hours and days.I absolutely love the work placement I am doing at the moment.Sam keeps in touch regularly to check how everything is going and has managed to work with the school so that I can work extra hours if needed on the days and times when I am available. I am paid weekly and so far have not had any issues. I have only praise for the Warrington team. Registering with Connex has been the best decision I have made regarding getting back into schools as a teaching assistantThank you to the Connex team!

Connex Education umberella company???

I've just discovered that I am paying for both my pension and national insurance plus the employers which reduces my pay significantly. I looked into this and it's because I'm not paid directly by connex but by Connex education partnership.Connex have not been transparent about this and say they don't use umberella companies, but as a direct employee I should not be paying for employer pension or NI. Please be aware of this if you work for Connex Education

Pathetic company, avoid the Nottingham branch at all costs, Jade is unprofessional and 'neglects' to inform you of everything, does not take calls and is exceptionally poor at communication.

I recently completed the e-learning Courses in Connex Education Academy and it was awesome. The lessons from the training exceeded my expectations .It also provided me valuable insight and practical skills. The Training has significantly enhanced my confidence and will position me in delivering my assigned duties.

Rachel in the Middlesbrough office

Rachel in the Middlesbrough office was exceptional. Quick and easy registration process, handy location (by car at least) and good communication. From signing up to gaining employment took days and found a wonderful position that I'm really enjoying. Rachel would keep me informed and was professional throughout, I really felt she was looking after my interests. Payment was quick and secure, a week in hand as is usual in these positions in my experience.The only negative is that when it came to completing the booking, another employee confirmed my booking and took the figure away from the person who had done a lot of the work in securing it, which I felt was a little unfair on Rachel but perhaps that is how it works in education recruitment.

Terrible communication

The person put in charge of my clearance went off work for over 3 weeks. Nobody processed me, my DBS was left unsent, and no one contacted me. This is my second negative dealing with Connex, who I had interviewed with previously, was accepted, and no one got back to me. They have wasted my time and energy twice, and I won't be fooled a third time.

Connex are amazing!

Connex are amazing!! Maya is lovely she sorted my application very quickly chasing up references etc. Always got back to me really quick and Jemma is so lovely helped me get work in the school I wanted and have gained a permanent full time job as teaching assistant after 2 months of being with them. So pleased with their support.
