As a new customer I am horrified by the unprofessional people who answer their phone including the technical service as well as customer service. Today I experienced a failure of the internet service to my home. I was on the telephone with obviously an "off shore" person who was nice but not technical. I stated the cable box apparently was defective and needed replacement. The rep stated I could expect a call within 24-48 hrs. That is NOT acceptable I replied. After hanging up with the tech I drove to their local office in my town expecting to swap out my cable box. All the doors were locked and customers were not allowed access. When calling the telephone number on the door I spoke with a rep who identified herself as "Latoya". Ms. Latoya stated the do not swap out defective cable boxes and I would be forced to wait 24-48 hrs as that is their policy of a company as large as Consolidated Communications. After stating that I am not happy and will consider switching to T Mobile 5G home internet, her response was, "go for it"! I recommend those who seek internet in the Port St Joe area avoid Consolidated Communications as the will be losing their customer base very quickly.
