If there were an award for the worst…

If there were an award for the worst customer service and most unreliable internet, Consolidated Communications would win it hands down. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare. The internet speeds are consistently slower than advertised, frequently dropping to a crawl, and outages happen so often it feels like they’re part of the service plan. Customer support is absolutely useless, with long hold times, clueless representatives, and no real solutions. I’ve been given the same scripted responses over and over, as if they have a team of robots just reading from a manual. Don’t even think about canceling. They make the process so cumbersome and frustrating, it feels like they’re doing everything in their power to prevent you from leaving. I finally had to just disconnect my payment option. If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid this company at all costs. There are far better options out there, and it’s not even close. I wouldn’t trust Consolidated Communications to provide internet to a hamster, let alone a household.
