This transaction and customer service incident ruined a good relationship

I placed an order online online with a promised delivery date of October 20th 2021. I have a very Important private party to attend this weekend at the Grand Prix in Austin Texas. I wanted these chucks to wear to the party. Today after multiple attempts of calling with no answer I finally got through on chat. I was told that the order was still processing which means it would not be here tomorrow. I said I would like a refund and do not send the shoes. I was told it's processing it can't be stopped so you can return them when you receive them. Why should I go out of my way to return shoes to accompany that failed to hold up to the under the bargain. I will be calling my bank to get my refund. I will never do business with this company again. I have 27 pairs of converse. Never have I been treated this way.
