I tried Cook as an alternative to Charlie Binghams but was very disappointed with some of my purchases.
The Ham hock and leek pie is very dry, like a pate encased in pastry and I could not taste ham hock or leek. Similarly the steak and ale pie was disappointing. And could not taste steak or ale just a strong taste of sweet tomato. Will buy neither again.
Fish pie good and pork Dijon. I thought Cook were very good when they first opened but think they have gone off the boil.
