Initially the service seemed ideal for what I wanted for a small site. It wasn't simple to implement but during the 14 day trial I got it working and relatively happy with the result.Halfway through the trial I received an email to say that they were hoping I enjoyed the trial and now is time to enter my payment details. In bold letters it says that without my payment details, they won't upgrade my account and when the trial ends my consent banner will be disabled, and account deactivated and the website will no longer comply.Having been advised that having less than 50 pages meant I would have a free service, this was alarming. Unable to reach support (as they're having a lot of queries right now), I entered my payment information.Received a reply from support today saying that it was free for sites under 50 pages. If that is the case, why the threat to remove the account unless payment details entered? The lowest option is 0 to 350 pages and £11 per month which is very expensive for a non-profit small website.I've deleted my account and will look for another product. I wouldn't necessarily say that Cookiebot is a scam, but they are certainly misleading.
