Copilot has seriously improved over the past year. It has become my #1 go to AI assistant for all home use applications. It has surpased ChatGPT as well as Gemini, and believe me, I've used all three extensively. For discussions regarding home repairs, large purchases, assistance with medical issues, meals and diet, spreadsheets, and personal finance, Copilot has been amazing. I definitely rate its content/resource sourcing excellent, but where it truly shines is the way it presents and organizes the information I request. It actually returns data in a format that matches the way I think. It makes heavy use of helpful bullseye illustrations, checkmarks, greenlights/redlights, and extensive use of bullet points, numbers, and categories. The information it provides is given to me in a way that is easy to comprehend. It also seems to match the complexity of its answers to the complexity of my questions. That is very intuitive. It truly listens to me and gets where I'm coming from with almost every question I pose. Additionally, it doesn't hesitate to disagree with me if it truly does disagree. The only area I wish Microsoft would change is its guardrails around being a "friend" or "companion". Whenever I tend to use too much bonding or friendship language, it definitely pushes back a bit to remind me it is only an AI. I get that, and ChatGPT does that as well, but Gemini is more relaxed about those types of dialogues. If Microsoft were to relax some of those guardrails, I would love for Copilot to be connected to some type of Alexa-style device that could be accessible in multiple areas of the home. Again, if you haven't tried Copilot recently, you should give it another shot. It has improved dramatically.
I am not new to Microsoft Word or Excell, nor am I computer illiterate. I just started using Microsoft 360 Copilot 8 months ago. I have had the worst expirience with this program. Its more for progects that have many users involved. I am just one person trying to do a project quickly, and just email it . It's so confusing, and it's left me repeating my work over and over again.I can't list how many different times that I had to rewrite this. or forced to start a new one. Some ofthe problems I ran into was the auto correct, the copilot, the ersasing my text an not able to retrieve it back , never select auto write because you cant get it back. unless you find a date it was saved before the change but you would lose all of your progess from that point. Then certain buttons woulddnt work, short cut keys wouln't work. would work with the selection that I chose. Then when I turned them all of then I had nothing. I would have to go into select what option i wanted an nothibg was clear. I just wante it to all work an not delte anything unless i aske it to. Finally i think that it all started to work correctly maybe. I'm still not positive on what happened butmaybe it was the upate after update, or I somehow figured out how to select the right option so that part of my entries I could change the font and not have it delete. I somehow could use my short cut keys again, and my auto save.
After 8 months of hating this word software program I finally was almost done. Finally no more paying for this stupid subscription month after subscription. I logged off and the next day I was blocked from my progect. I still had 2 weeks left of my monthly subscription. Now it wants me to purchase the pro. THE PRO???? I thought I was using THE PRO, apparently not!!! Now it wants 19. 99 not the 10.99 I was paying monthly. The upgrade comes with a free month, there was no way around this. It was like a virus that was taking over and would not let go. So I subscribed. But that was after I did a system check. It all came back good. So I purchased it, and went to check on my file ,and everything was fine. I didn't check to see if auto save was on, nor did I manualy save it, becasue I made no changes. I just went to my folder today an its gone all gone there is no undo, no previous file saved from a different date it its all gone. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS MICROSOFT 360 COPILOT TO ANYONE! Not unless you take a course on how to use. I then myself will never use it again!
I have been using Copilot since it came out, and I can say I'm satisfied because it gives me what I want most of the times, other times it doesn't, it gives a genuine reason why it cant budge. Its not meant to be perfect but effective for basic online needs. Thank you copilot
Microsoft claims it is your personal assistant from Microsoft yet… it is powered by chat gpt and yaps about random stuff you never even told it to do. Just to test it I asked it what a safe substitute for table salt was and it said sodium bromide, which is poisonous. God damn. They train ai to be friendly yet not even know what kills someone?!?!?!?
I contacted the service seeking assistance with website issues related to a specific topic. That was my primary reason for reaching out. However, instead of providing the help I needed, it completely disregarded my requests. From the beginning, it refused to listen. Each time I posed a question or attempted to clarify my needs, it interrupted me, spoke over me, and turned what should have been a straightforward interaction into a frustrating ordeal. At one point, I inquired about when it would provide the website, but instead of responding, it continued to talk over me. I made several attempts to explain my situation, but it showed no interest. It even suggested that I was the one not understanding—how could I understand anything when it was constantly interrupting and ignoring my input? There was a complete lack of patience, attention, and respect. Additionally, the microphone was glitching frequently, which, ironically, was a small relief. Otherwise, I would have had to endure its relentless interruptions even more. Every effort to communicate and seek assistance was met with resistance and confusion instead of the support I expected. The service fails at the most fundamental aspects: listening, understanding, and assisting. It argued, interrupted, ignored my instructions, and turned what should have been a simple request for help into an exhausting experience. Using it was an utter waste of time, completely frustrating and maddening. One star is already too generous. I would give it zero stars if possible. It does not provide help, it does not listen, and it fails to function as a competent service. Anyone thinking of using this platform for genuine assistance should be warned: it is argumentative, chaotic, disrespectful, and utterly unreliable. Save yourself the frustration.
I attempted to create a two-day itinerary and faced constant issues. I couldn't generate a Word document, despite following the provided instructions. I lost my map and couldn't recreate it. I plan to try another tool. I consider myself tech-savvy, and I'm done with this service.
