I deposited a total of £170 in four separate transactions (first £20, then £50 deposits) via Apple Pay using my husband’s card. Every deposit was accepted without issue. There was no warning, no restriction, and no problem raised at the time of deposit.
Only after I won and my balance exceeded £1,400 did Coral suddenly decide there was an issue and close my account.
When asked for verification, I provided everything — my ID, the cardholder’s ID, written authorisation, bank statements, and Apple Wallet transaction screenshots. There has been no fraud, no chargeback, and full transparency throughout.
Despite this, Coral refunded only the £170 deposits and withheld over £1,400 in winnings.
Under identical circumstances, Ladbrokes (also owned by Entain) completed their review within 24 hours and released my full balance. The inconsistency is extremely concerning.
Accepting deposits multiple times and only acting once a customer wins raises serious questions about fairness.
I have requested a Final Response Letter and will escalate this to IBAS for independent review.
