I’m having a huge trouble because of Costa. Me and my girlfriend booked a Costa Favolosa cruise starting from Buenos-Aires. We took a 20.000 km air trip to Argentina to board a ship. While we were flying, Costa CANCELLED OUR RESERVATION! We arrived to Buenos-Aires and received a notification: we no longer have tickets to the ship. Now we are in Argentina with no means to return!
Why did Costa cancel our tickets? I paid 80% of ticket cost, and 20% remained unpaid. Last day before our flight Costa manager wrote me: ‘Please pay 20% remaining’. I answered: ‘Yes, I’ll pay soon, can I pay with paypal?’ Then we boarded a plane. Costa guys did not answer me about paypal. They just cancelled our tickets!
It was still 20 days before cruise. More than enough time for me to pay 20%.
And the worst. Costa did not refund 80% of ticket price already paid by me! THEY CANCELLED TICKET AND DID NOT RETURN MONEY!
Why so? Maybe, because I paid with voucher. But voucher was not free! Voucher had it’s price! In 2021 I bought a cruise to Singapore, it was cancelled because of COVID, and Costa gave me this voucher as a refund. Later I paid cruise from Argentina with this voucher. Now Costa cancelled my booking – and did not return the voucher’s price!
I simply don’t believe that’s happened. Costa left us in Argentina with no tickets and no money!
