I strongly warn everyone to avoid Costext completely. This company is a scam.
Without any request, consent, or prior interaction from me, they debited €44.90 from my credit card. I have never signed up for their service, never used any of their SMS or anonymous messaging features, and never agreed to any payment or subscription.
This is a clear case of unauthorized fraudulent transaction. I immediately contacted Costext demanding a full refund, explaining that I never authorized this charge. So far, I have received no response and no refund.
I am now treating this as a deliberate scam. If Costext does not immediately refund the full €44.90 to my card within the next 48 hours, I will take the following actions:
• Open a formal chargeback dispute with my card issuer
• File a complaint for violation of consumer rights and unauthorized payment
• Report the case as a breach of data privacy laws (they appear to have used my card details without any legitimate consent or contract)
• Escalate the matter through international consumer protection channels
This experience has been extremely frustrating and has made me lose complete trust in any company that pulls money without explicit authorization. It feels like a classic “invisible subscription” scam designed to trick people.
My advice to everyone: Do not use Costext under any circumstances. They charge your card without permission and ignore refund requests. Stay away – there are plenty of legitimate alternatives.
I will update this review once (and if) they finally refund my money.
