My experience wasn't really the best and I'll tell you why before you part with a substantial amount of money. I live local to the showroom, so I popped in to try the mattresses out. I wanted to buy a mattress that was free of all chemicals due to allergies and support the local economy. I suffer with allergies and fibro like symptoms and seem to sleep better on softer mattresses. So after trying them I opted for the Exeter cashmere and wool mattress, I also tried a mattress topper with this (the pocket) and wasn't quite sure as I'd recently spent £300 on a feather topper from a high quality company. I had a 10% off code and discussed with the showroom rep, who's father originally owned the company as to whether it may be better to try the mattress first then add a topper, which she agreed may be a good idea but that I wouldn't then get my 10% discount if adding afterwards, so weighing this up I opted to add a very expensive mattress topper at purchase (£384). Imagine my surprise when after my purchases I was emailed a 15% off code...which is for customers that have already purchased from then. So she was indeed right, I wouldn't get 10% off, I would get 15% off, but I was definitely made to feel I would miss out on any discount. I really felt a local company should act better than this. There was also no real guidance on spring tension. The mattress I ordered had a soft spring tension in the showroom so I ordered soft, but after doing some online research established that for myself I needed a medium tension spring due to my weight and my partners weight. I had asked about this but was simply told I was in the normal weight bracket so was fine. If you look for this info online it will clearly give you definitive weight measurements that support the 3 different spring tensions. I suggest you check this yourself as this company will not present you with the information to make the correct choice. After realising that soft spring tension was not adequate, I emailed them to change my order to medium spring , no problem they would update. My mattress was made swiftly and I was contacted to say the courier would deliver on a certain day and make contact with me. They delivered, but no contact was made, it was a wait and see delivery. The delivery team were good however. Mattress was delivered. The next day I get a call to say they have a mattress to be delivered for me....so I say I already had my delivery. They say there's another mattress on the van for me. So as you can imagine, after changing my spring tension within 24 hrs of ordering it appears it generated 2 orders and to this day I still do not know if I've got the medium or soft tension spring! Not what you want when parting with nearly 2k. After sleeping on the mattress with the topper, I had a bad back so had to remove the topper, so that's a very large chunk of money lost. The Exeter mattress on its own is better but still not perfect. My back still aches a bit, I have slept better on a cheap Fogarty sadly. So the whole experience wasn't great for me. Wasted cash, the unknown of whether my mattress is really a medium spring and also feeling let down by the showroom staff on discount information and spring tensions. The concept is great but in reality it doesn't all quite come together, which is a shame. An expensive error of judgment on my behalf and it hasn't improved my sleep sadly. All things I suggest potential customers consider as it's quite a substantial amount of money.
