I was charged around €70 for a lifetime verification on a platform that I never intended to purchase. On December 21, I thought I was completing a standard free verification step, which is common on many sites. At no point was it clear that this was a paid lifetime service. When I noticed a payment was being processed, I quickly closed the payment window using the cancel option. Despite this, the payment was completed. I reached out to the support team immediately to explain that the charge was unintentional and that I had attempted to cancel the process. The representative informed me that nothing could be done and that a refund was not possible, citing their terms and conditions. I followed up multiple times, reiterating that I never meant to make this purchase, but I received the same refusal each time. I believe this charge was made without my informed consent, and the refusal to refund an unintentional payment for a digital service is unfair and misleading.
