SO APPALLNGLY BAD IT’S ALMOST LAUGHABLE... BUT I’M CRYING INSTEAD!

I live on the Gold Coast. On February 27, I received a message from Couriers Please (CP) to say a shipment from Melbourne’s ‘Renovator Store’ would be delivered to my Brisbane address on Wednesday 5 March. On Monday 3 March at 8am I received a message saying the goods were on a truck and would be delivered that day - three days ahead of schedule.I tried contacting CP at least a dozen times, but they did not respond. You see, they don’t have any humans involved in their day-to-day operations and rely on an entry level A.I bot as their CSR (Customer Service Representative). It is not good!At 1.15pm I got another message saying the driver was unable to be deliver the goods as no one was there. Of course no one was there - the delivery was scheduled for Wednesday! At 4.16pm I received another message that read, “To find out how to find your parcel, contact our Customer Service Department (LOL) and enter the Consignment Number listed on the card that was left at your delivery address. At this point, I still hadn’t clicked on to the fact that I was the unwitting victim of a cruel and heartless prank, so I got my daughter to make a late night, 20km round trip to retrieve the card which, surprise, surprise was nowhere to be found. Around 10pm I went back to the CP website, entered the tracking numbers and saw there were two more parcels awaiting delivery, and that they were scheduled for delivery today, Tuesday 4 March. To make sure we didn’t miss this delivery, my wife drove to Brisbane early this morning and waited. But unfortunately, there would be no deliveries today because the goods weren’t in Brisbane! They were still in Melbourne waiting to be loaded on to a truck! (LOL again!)I have lodged multiple messages today via their shockingly bad A.I customer disservice bot without success. My fear is, that once the 48-hour window for redelivery closes, the entire shipment of six packages will be returned to the sender in Melbourne. This is so bizarre and so crazy I cannot even begin to describe the anger, disappointment and sheer incredulity at the incompetence of this company. It is stunningly incompetent and devoid of anything that resembles Customer Service. Mind you, it takes a special kind of appalling to garner just 2.6 stars from 209,303 online customer reviews. (And if you want to know where I got this number from, I counted all the online reviews I could find.) My advice, stay clear of this company at all costs! And if any company you buy from uses CP as their delivery company, cancel your order. Don’t say you weren’t warned.
