ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL BUYING EXPERIENCE

In May I purchased a Women’s Boho Short Dress - Flowy Lightweight Fabric - V-Neck Casual Wear for £44.95 Sale Price, Full Price £90, size Small, colour Pink Island! The dress that arrived was the colour pattern that I ordered, but the dress is 4 sizes too large with chest measurement of 44 inches, so way too big and not fit for my purpose! According to the measurements chart on the website, a size Small is 34-35 inch chest!The fabric, which is of indeterminate composition, is not as described on the website! In my opinion, the dress is worth about £20 absolute maximum! So the dress had to be returned for a full refund!So I started the return process by emailing them to say I was returning the dress and why, as well as completing the return request via the link on the website! I also requested a pre-paid postage return label, as the dress they sent me is not what I ordered!First of all I will address the issue of not being able to return a sale item to this company which, I understand, contravenes the Consumer Rights Act in the UK! It is my understanding that if you buy directly from China, which I didn’t realise I was at the time, UK purchasers are covered by China’s Consumer Rights Laws! However I have not looked into the specifics of this!At this time, following numerous email exchanges, this company refuses to issue me with a full refund, or provide any return address! In the interim, I have been offered a 50% refund and no need to return the dress, but I refused this on the basis that a full refund is appropriate in this case!So I have contacted my Visa provider and filed a dispute, which is being processed at this time! I am confident that this will result in favour of a full credit of £44.95 by way of a ‘Charge Back’ from this company to my Visa account!My apologies for the elongated feedback, but I feel that all of my time spent and the frustration trying to sort this out will have a positive outcome and warn potential buyers of how this company operates and to avoid any future purchase engagement at all costs! UPDATE I am happy to report that I have received a full refund for this order by way of a “Charge Back” to my Barclaycard Visa! I understand that this refund payment was debited from the Merchant’s (Couture Moda) bank account!I strongly urge anyone who has, or is, experiencing similar issues with their purchases to contact their payment provider. It may take a little time and effort, but it’s worth it on so many levels!
