I ordered a pair of orthopaedic trainers, believing this was from a UK business with a City Road address in London. They were £45 and absolutely terrible. Materials and workmanship were very poor. I contacted them and they offered a discount on another purchase which I rejected. Returns need to be sent International tracked and signed, and they ask for your tracking details. I was so angry, I paid £23 for this to be tracked and returned. The item arrived in Shanghai on 5th May, and is still ‘being assessed by Customs’ on 17th May. I think we know what is happening here and it will be corrupt. I have to wait 25 days to claim from Royal Mail, who will presumably say that it’s not their fault that Customs is holding up/blocking delivery. If this happens I will contact my bank for the third time, to try to claw back the purchase cost. Absolutely awful business. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. UPDATE 26 Jun: my parcel is still in ‘Customs’ and it had been there almost 2 months. Clearly, this company is refusing to pick up their own tracked returns, and their advice to return is an appalling sham. I can’t believe that anyone could justify working for this company when they spend all day apologising and asking customers to contact them- when they are fully aware that all roads are a dead end. I have called my bank who are looking into this for me, and have reported the company to Trading Standards in the UK. A corrupt and utter disgrace of a business. Note to Hazel: do not reply to this and ask me to contact you- do not demean yourself.
