I have had my Cove alarm system for several years. I’ve already had a situation where my cameras stopped working with the system and they told me they were working on it in the app that it was their issue, only to check again and I was informed they updated and the Kami cameras no longer worked with their system and I had a choice of using my credit towards a new panel (their updated system) and replacing my cameras. I upgraded and purchased the new equipment. This was in January of 2025. Here we are in January 2026 and my doorbell camera is no longer recording motion. It stopped the ability to use that feature on 1/13/26. The doorbell camera is my most used item on this system which I pay a monitoring fee of $35 per month to use. When I called about this issue they told me once again it was a problem on the app on their end and they are working on it. They advised me to use the camera on the free site of the manufacturer of the camera. I asked if this was going to go the same way as the other equipment. I had a great experience with the first 3/4 years with my security system. I will not purchase any new equipment from them if this is what will happen every year. I dont know if they need new app programmers or if this is a money making plan with them but when it’s the companies fault equipment no longer can be compatible because of something they’ve done. They need to replace the equipment. It’s supposed to be under warranty with the monitoring plan I have and it’s unacceptable to tell me I have to use a free app to utilize my equipment. I do not recommend starting with them. I won’t purchase any new equipment from them unless it’s a camera I can use without them on the future.
