After moving into my new shop, I decided it was necessary to install a security system to protect my property. After watching several reviews and doing my research, I chose Cove and signed up in November 2025, purchasing a package along with additional fobs for quick access since multiple people use the building.
Unfortunately, as of March 2026, the fobs still do not work. Since installation, I’ve experienced ongoing issues with the system and have made multiple attempts to resolve them, only to be repeatedly disappointed.
The doorbell camera requires a separate base in order to record, which was not clearly communicated upfront. The cameras require SD cards with limited storage capacity, and several of the cameras purchased directly from Cove work intermittently. For a security system, reliability should not be optional.
Today, when I attempted to cancel my membership, I was met with repeated attempts to persuade me to stay rather than a straightforward cancellation process. I made it clear multiple times that I was dissatisfied and had already replaced the system with another provider. Despite that, I continued to receive resistance rather than assistance.
To make matters worse, cancellation is not automatic. There is a cancellation fee that will be charged within a few days, and the language used during the process felt ambiguous and unnecessarily confusing.
Overall, I am extremely unhappy with my experience. There is much more I could share, but the ongoing technical issues, poor customer service, and complicated cancellation process speak for themselves. I would strongly recommend choosing a more established and proven security provider.
Am pleased with part of there new system. Indoor cam and doorbell cam work amazing so I decided to order two out door cameras and am very disappointed you can not change any of the settings and spot light clicks on and off and you get reports of movement when there is none nonstop. Called and was told is an ongoing problem. Very disappointed considering the outdoor solor cams are $180 each.
Rachel was extremely helpful and very attentive! She answered all my questions thoroughly and has so much patience for all the questions i had. I was able to understand more about my security system because Rachel send me lots of individual links for useful information on how to operate the system. Great company, great equipment and extremely great customer service by Rachel. I recommend Cove to everyone!
I have had my Cove alarm system for several years. I’ve already had a situation where my cameras stopped working with the system and they told me they were working on it in the app that it was their issue, only to check again and I was informed they updated and the Kami cameras no longer worked with their system and I had a choice of using my credit towards a new panel (their updated system) and replacing my cameras. I upgraded and purchased the new equipment. This was in January of 2025. Here we are in January 2026 and my doorbell camera is no longer recording motion. It stopped the ability to use that feature on 1/13/26. The doorbell camera is my most used item on this system which I pay a monitoring fee of $35 per month to use. When I called about this issue they told me once again it was a problem on the app on their end and they are working on it. They advised me to use the camera on the free site of the manufacturer of the camera. I asked if this was going to go the same way as the other equipment. I had a great experience with the first 3/4 years with my security system. I will not purchase any new equipment from them if this is what will happen every year. I dont know if they need new app programmers or if this is a money making plan with them but when it’s the companies fault equipment no longer can be compatible because of something they’ve done. They need to replace the equipment. It’s supposed to be under warranty with the monitoring plan I have and it’s unacceptable to tell me I have to use a free app to utilize my equipment. I do not recommend starting with them. I won’t purchase any new equipment from them unless it’s a camera I can use without them on the future.

The first part of our security system arrived just four days after ordering. The setup instructions were straightforward, though I encountered some challenges connecting the alarm panel to our home Wi-Fi. The representative from the technical support team was fantastic. He walked me through every step I needed to take, and after getting the alarm panel operational, he continued to assist with setting up all of our cameras as well. He also took the time to explain the three different alarm settings as well as the motion sensor and door and window sensors. Overall, my experience with the service and the representative has been exceptional.
The representative demonstrated extensive knowledge in all areas of technical support and app account management. They assisted me in resolving issues with my motion sensor and touch screen panel, allowing me to access my cameras. Additionally, they helped me reset my username and password for the mobile app. Every request I had was addressed; this was the most seamless customer service experience I've ever encountered.
