My dog became ill v quickly and had to be pts on the 23rd July. I was shell shocked and should have thought more sensibly but at the time was too distressed. Requested a private cremation with the vets that was noted. My lovely dog was cremated on the 28th and not returned to me till the 6th August (why so long). When he was returned his name was spelt wrong, I had to call the vets as it had been so long since he was pts to find out where he was. I then collected his ashes to find a card inside again with the altered wrong name giving cremation details. I emailed Tewkesbury to see if there was a memorial area/garden or anywhere I could visit for quiet time they never even replied so I telephoned and they said said No they do not own the land and have no facilities for that? I am devastated, I feel I let my dear friend down. I was not with him for any goodbye and I worry how much respect he was treated with by these people. The whole experience was soulless and not worthy of my dear companion.
