I have been trying to trade since the start of 2024. I had completed a trading course previously which came with indicators and training videos, however I had only managed a 10% gain by May this year. At this point I felt that the amount of hours I had put into it wasn't providing a great return, so I hunted around for an alternative training provider.I looked up mentorships online and stumbled across CPP trading. After arranging a call with Ian and discussing my journey along with his mentorship, I decided to sign up.Admittedly, I felt a little deflated when I joined after my experience with the previous course. However, Ian has slowly given me the belief that I can become a consistent trader.Each week we have 2 one hour sessions where Ian discusses different trading concepts. He covers all topics from strategy to risk management and emotions e.t.c. The mentorship is not like a fixed training course, Ian has focused on my needs e.g helping me create a trading plan which fits around my lifestyle.There are no indicators on the chart and the analysis is all based around price action. The concepts that Ian teaches are straight forward and are easy to understand.I am currently almost half way through my mentorship and I'm already taking trades. One of the most important and valuable parts of the mentorship is being able to discuss the trades I've taken and asking questions. The responses I receive from Ian are logical and make total sense. I no longer need to second guess or try to figure things out for myself.From what I have experienced so far, I would definitely recommend Ian's mentorship. I wanted to find a smarter way to trade and I feel like I am definitely in the right place now. Ian is someone who genuinely seems to care about my success.UPDATE 7th September 2025I have now come to the end of my 3 month mentorship with Ian and I’m incredibly happy with the progression I’ve made. I have a solid understanding of the concepts Ian has taught me and my results are now becoming consistent. My goal is to become a proprietary trader on Ian’s trading desk and I will now start another 3 months with him to cover more advanced concepts.Ian has been a great mentor, he’s a great person to work with and I’m hopeful we can turn knowledge into a longer term working relationship.
