I’m currently about two-thirds of the way through the Private Mentorship with CPP Trading, and I have to say, it’s been a fantastic experience so far. Ian’s approach really stands out — everything is taught step by step, in a clear and structured way that actually makes sense.I’ve learned so much, not just about the technical side of trading, but also about proper risk management and understanding my own trading psychology. Ian has a calm and patient way of teaching, which makes it easy to follow along and build confidence as you go.I’m genuinely happy I joined this program. It’s given me a solid foundation and a much clearer path forward. If you’re serious about trading and want proper guidance, I can truly recommend this mentorship.
I found Ian and CPP Trading more or less by accident. I had had some experience with stocks, but was new to forex. Ian is not only experienced and well educated, but he has a very calm and supportive demeanor, guiding me into the forex world with smarts and patience. First and foremost Ian is a true gentleman and it is a pleasure to work with him.
I have been trying to trade since the start of 2024. I had completed a trading course previously which came with indicators and training videos, however I had only managed a 10% gain by May this year. At this point I felt that the amount of hours I had put into it wasn't providing a great return, so I hunted around for an alternative training provider.I looked up mentorships online and stumbled across CPP trading. After arranging a call with Ian and discussing my journey along with his mentorship, I decided to sign up.Admittedly, I felt a little deflated when I joined after my experience with the previous course. However, Ian has slowly given me the belief that I can become a consistent trader.Each week we have 2 one hour sessions where Ian discusses different trading concepts. He covers all topics from strategy to risk management and emotions e.t.c. The mentorship is not like a fixed training course, Ian has focused on my needs e.g helping me create a trading plan which fits around my lifestyle.There are no indicators on the chart and the analysis is all based around price action. The concepts that Ian teaches are straight forward and are easy to understand.I am currently almost half way through my mentorship and I'm already taking trades. One of the most important and valuable parts of the mentorship is being able to discuss the trades I've taken and asking questions. The responses I receive from Ian are logical and make total sense. I no longer need to second guess or try to figure things out for myself.From what I have experienced so far, I would definitely recommend Ian's mentorship. I wanted to find a smarter way to trade and I feel like I am definitely in the right place now. Ian is someone who genuinely seems to care about my success.UPDATE 7th September 2025I have now come to the end of my 3 month mentorship with Ian and I’m incredibly happy with the progression I’ve made. I have a solid understanding of the concepts Ian has taught me and my results are now becoming consistent. My goal is to become a proprietary trader on Ian’s trading desk and I will now start another 3 months with him to cover more advanced concepts.Ian has been a great mentor, he’s a great person to work with and I’m hopeful we can turn knowledge into a longer term working relationship.

Here is my review of my experience with CPP trading. I signed up for the 12-week coaching program, and so far, I have just finished Session 3 with Ian.He is very knowledgeable and considerate. He is willing to go the extra mile, and his approach is individualized. I asked him if he would be okay to review the notes I take after each session, and he agreed to that.We have been covering the basics of forex trading, and I'm looking forward to learning more about what he has to offer!
***UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW***I've now completed my 3 month mentorship with Ian from CPP Trading. Ian has taken me from being a complete novice with no knowledge at all to being comfortable and reasonably confident in being able to analyse charts and recognise patterns and behaviours in the markets. He continues to explain each concept with great clarity and patience.I'm so happy with the progress I've made that I have booked a second 3 month mentorship which has just started.I'm confident that I'll achieve my trading goals with Ian as a mentor.
I have done maybe 10 or more trading courses in the past, been in groups and mentored, but still something was missing and no objective strategy... until I found Ian. He is different. I will come back with a more detailed review later, as I need to complete the mentoring, but it is worth a try to see for yourself I think, thanks.
I have had Ian as a mentor for a while and would not choose anyone else, he is attentive and simplifies what seems to be a complex industry, he doesn’t make you feel like you are part of a corporate training that is their business to make money from trading students, you feel like you have your own personal industry expert at hand !
I have been with CPP Trading for a few months now and completed the 3-months mentorship programme with Ian. I have gone from a complete beginner who knew absolutely nothing about intraday trading to a confident and profitable trader with decent returns on a personal 50k account. The material and lessons are well structured and logical, taking you through the basics and onto more advanced techniques. Learning to trade takes time- it’s a bit like learning to speak a new language- and so patience, dedication and discipline are required but I have progressed a lot faster than expected thanks to Ian. If you are serious about starting trading and sticking with it I can’t recommend CPP Trading enough.
