TL;DR - Made an order and got ghosted after paying. No goods received.We made an order for a dresser on the 27th of January. We then received a message from them notifying us that they will deliver between the 30th of Jan and the 2nd of Feb. This was followed by an email from their billing team with an invoice requesting an immediate EFT payment to their bank to process the delivery, on the 28th of Jan. After payment was made and receipt confirmed there was no further communication. On the 27th of January we tried to make contact with them for feedback (calls, whatsapp's) with no response. This was when the alarm bells started ringing. I lodged a complaint with their bank and their account was blocked. On the 28th of January their logistics team sent two emails informing us of the delivery details. One email was addressed to someone else (probably a copy and paste of another email) and the second had the correct name.On the 2nd of Feb we received frantic calls from the manager "Marcus" demanding for their bank account to be unblocked because they did nothing wrong. I requested proof of every communication they made as I was not aware of it and it turned out that they sent emails on the 28th (as mentioned above). We happened to have missed this and naively believed their story. For two days the manager would call almost every working hour to request an update on the lifting of the block on their bank account. We cooperated until our bank closed the case and their bank unblocked their account. As soon as the fraud case was closed they went silent again and started ignoring any attempts to communicate (calls, emails, etc.). To date no goods have been received , refund made or update given regarding the matter.
