I ordered furniture from Craft City Furniture on 28 January. I was asked to make an instant payment because they said the truck delivering to my area was leaving the same day.

Since then, I have not received my furniture and I have not received a refund.

Over the past several weeks I have been given multiple excuses and promises that the delivery is “on the way.” Most recently, I was told that the stock that was supposedly already on its way to me had suddenly been damaged, and that they would come back to me with a new delivery date. They never did.

Attempts to contact the company have been extremely frustrating:
• Emails are ignored
• Phone calls to the number on the website go unanswered
• WhatsApp messages are not read or responded to
• The driver’s number they provided also does not answer

My uncle even went to the address listed on their website, and there is no business operating there.

After posting my original review, I received a phone call from the owner asking me to remove the review, during which I was told that I was “messing with the wrong people.”

To date, I have still not received the furniture or my money back.

I am simply requesting delivery of the goods that were paid for, or a full refund. Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend that anyone purchase from this company.

Scam! Stole 35000From me. Stay away they thieves. Jack,Marcus and a few other ladies in on it! They delivering and on their way and never arrive. Opened a case at police. Problem is the instant EFT. Sad how evil people can be!

SCAM - STAY AWAY FROM CRAFT CITY FURNITURE -GEORGE

I placed an order for 10 chairs on the 8 December 2025, I was told it would be delivered on the 12th December, then told the 15th, then the 19th, then the 23rd. Then on the 29th December they said all outstanding deliveries would be delivered before the 31st. Once I wrote a negative review, I received a phone call from the owner of the business, asking me to take my negative review down, that he would personally call me on the 2nd January and make sure my chairs were delivered that week, I took down my negative review in the hopes of him delivering my chairs, To date, no one has called me and I still have not received my chairs. I was even told to phone the delivery person myself, I spoke on numerous occasions to the driver Teboga, who would lie about delivering my chairs, he would even say, he was on his way to me, but he never was. Most of my dealings have been with Jake, who is aggressive on the phone, and lies continually, the logistics department have sent me many a date and time of delivery, but I have never received my chairs. Jake promised me that my chairs would be delivered on the 9th January by 10am. He even said, the driver, had no other deliveries to do that day except mine. I phoned the driver and he wouldn't answer, but would text message me saying he was stuck in traffic. I phoned Jake to ask where my chairs were and he said the driver was out of his control and told me to phone the driver for when my chairs would be delivered. I called on the 13th January, they sent me a text message to say they were in meetings and would call me back, but they never ever call back. On the 13th January, I requested a refund, I received an immediate response to say they have processed my refund, but waiting approval. On the 19th January, I followed up and asked when I could expect my refund, no response from them. I called and called and no response. I eventually got my husband to start dealing with them, He spoke to the "accounts" department , Natasha, who said she would call him back at 2pm. She never called back. We have called and spoken to Jake numerous times and each time he told us, that he has refunded us and would send us proof of payment. I followed up again on the 30th January by text message, I received a message to say that my refund was done on the 29th January and they would send me Proof of Payment shortly. I have tried calling and sending text messages to get my proof of payment and there is absolutely no response and no proof of payment. I still can't work out if this company is a SCAM because, there are reviews with happy customers, but I am not sure they are real customers or reviews. If my chairs were in KZN, they would have been delivered and if they were going to refund me, it would have been done by now, as of the 4th February 2026, I have no chairs and no Refund. If I was contemplating buying from them, I would stay clear away, I would keep my hard earned money and go to a reputable company, dealing with Craft City Furniture has been the WORST experience ever. I have lost lots of money, believing in this fraudulent company and been more than patient waiting for my chairs to arrive and given them enough time to refund me! If I were you wondering if you should or shouldn't purchase from them. DONT DO IT!!! STAY AWAY!! I hope I have saved someone else from this horrible experience.

Ordered furniture

Ordered furniture. It seemed to good to be true. The website looks legit. We even phoned another business in the same industrial park. They said if us furniture making and looked busy. It's probably impersonation of company. All done remotely. Dealt with Jack. And Tasheena. Paid . Then waited. Delivery never arrived. We did correspond with driver called Jacob. He sad he had so many to deliver and assemble and check. Running v late. Very suspicious. Phonex ABSA fraud and asked about account info. Fraud reported. Account blocked. So looks like impersonation fraud. Still trying to find the real business in George. Maybe it doesn't even exist. Their website needs yo be taken down immediately.

Craft City Furniture - Ghosted after paying, no delivery made

TL;DR - Made an order and got ghosted after paying. No goods received.We made an order for a dresser on the 27th of January. We then received a message from them notifying us that they will deliver between the 30th of Jan and the 2nd of Feb. This was followed by an email from their billing team with an invoice requesting an immediate EFT payment to their bank to process the delivery, on the 28th of Jan. After payment was made and receipt confirmed there was no further communication. On the 27th of January we tried to make contact with them for feedback (calls, whatsapp's) with no response. This was when the alarm bells started ringing. I lodged a complaint with their bank and their account was blocked. On the 28th of January their logistics team sent two emails informing us of the delivery details. One email was addressed to someone else (probably a copy and paste of another email) and the second had the correct name.On the 2nd of Feb we received frantic calls from the manager "Marcus" demanding for their bank account to be unblocked because they did nothing wrong. I requested proof of every communication they made as I was not aware of it and it turned out that they sent emails on the 28th (as mentioned above). We happened to have missed this and naively believed their story. For two days the manager would call almost every working hour to request an update on the lifting of the block on their bank account. We cooperated until our bank closed the case and their bank unblocked their account. As soon as the fraud case was closed they went silent again and started ignoring any attempts to communicate (calls, emails, etc.). To date no goods have been received , refund made or update given regarding the matter.

One star is too much

One star is too much. This company it seems is a bogus operation. I ordered 4 chairs mid January and like everyone kept getting a delivery date with driver Jacob, and day after day waiting, but no delivery. Then phone calls “ your call is important to us, please hold” and you hold and hold and hold and never get to speak to anyone. All emails to billing, admin, and sales are ignored. Why they string you along, like kids playing a game. I intend to lay a charge of fraud at SAPS and with their bank and mine. Stay clear of Craft City Furniture.

Same story as everyone else here. SCAM. Do not buy.

Same story as everyone else here. Made an order on 8 January 2026, was told that the truck was leaving that evening for Johannesburg and I needed to pay and clear the eft for swift delivery. To date no goods have been received. We have been strung along with false delivery dates for weeks. Calls, emails, messages unanswered. Its a scam. I have asked for refund which has been ignored. I have opened a case with the Consumer Ombuds and SAPS
