On October 4, I renewed my ad-free subscription for another six months for $92.00 plus tax. Everything was fine until about a week ago when ads began appearing on my account. I paid for an ad-free experience and expected no shows to have ads. They're labeling it as 'Bonus Content.' Now, when I check the subscription offers on their site, that Bonus Content with ads is shown, but it wasn't there when I renewed. Since I paid for ad-free, I expect any shows with ads to be removed from my account until my subscription ends. Ads should only appear upon renewal, as stated. Paying for ad-free and still seeing ads is unacceptable. Additionally, there have been technical issues with the app on certain devices. Recently, the app was updated to prevent cutting off show endings, which was a great improvement. However, shortly after, a forced closed captioning option was implemented that cannot be turned off permanently. Every time I start a show, the captions appear, requiring me to turn them off manually. It was a fantastic update for only two weeks before they messed it up and included ads in my ad-free subscription.
