It felt like a scam. I contacted the company to settle a debt that was negatively affecting my credit report. Instead of being directed to pay the balance, I was subjected to a hard sales pitch to pay for its removal from my credit. They also offered a credit monitoring service for $1 a month. I agreed, unaware that the fee would rise to $24.99 after a week. I was informed that the dollar charge was merely for accessing my credit scores. The recurring fee and membership details were only revealed after I was already committed. When I logged in, there was no option to cancel, forcing me to call a number to avoid the monthly $24.99 charge. I am very disappointed. I had to track down the source of the credit debt myself to pay it off, and I received no assistance in achieving my goal.
