I get a phone call yesterday offering me a £3 a month discount if I sign up to a new 2 year contract. I said am I out of contract? Yes. Ok in that case how much would it cost to switch to the 900MB Fibre from 500MB? Sorry sir we cant do that for you, you need to ring customer service.... So I call customer service and again they try and get me to sign for a 2 year contract (Not listening) I tell them I want 900MB broadnband.....to be told I cant have it, I said well it was an option when I signed up, so why cant I have it now? To be tol they cant upgrade my contract. So I asked again, if I was a new customer could I have 900MB as this is what I want, yes a new customer could have it but I cant because Im in a contract. I said but Im not in a contract so surely I can sign a new one? No sir you would need to terminate your current contract and you would be barred from signing up again!! I said so Im telling you I am going to sign up for faster broadband right now, I have to go to another supplier as you are not able to let me do it with you? Yes. What an absolute joke, I even tried to be put onto a manager and was told they cant do that. Sure enough within 20 minues I had moved to Virgin Fibre for 1000MB and for less money. As a director of a business myself I cant understand the crazy logic behind this series of calls and such a shame as I thought cuckoo had been great up until this point but they literally left me no choice but to leave. I even rang back this morning to give them another chance to rectify but they said they couldnt put me through to a senior member of the team, so here I am.
