Despite the menu appearing British, the gravies, sauces, and sides lack authenticity. If you have special dietary needs (like keto), this service is not suitable. Everything is geared towards processed, high-carb, low-quality options with excessive seasoning. The buffet doesn’t offer fresh fruits, only cheap, high-carb items. Drinks are overpriced—just a small amount of whiskey costs at least 10 dollars, and they automatically add tips to your bill, which you need to address with the support team. Tips for minimal service, typically delivered by unenthusiastic staff. When we inquired about the mandatory tipping, we were told that the staff doesn’t receive it. There’s no cash on board, and all transactions rely on your door card, which is quite frustrating. There’s also the usual upselling in the spa, similar to other cruise lines, despite claims of being different. The security process in the port was confusing, as we and our luggage had to go through scanners twice: once at the terminal and again boarding the ship. Regarding the ports, it was disappointing. We spent two entire days in a place with little to offer, while only a few hours were allocated to a culturally rich location. It seems they prioritize cheap docking fees over interesting destinations. This experience feels far removed from the Cunard of the past, now just part of a larger franchise, yet they continue to operate under a once-great name with a facade of quality. I would recommend steering clear.
