he would think the pub food would be included in your allowance but the only thing that was were scotch eggs if you wanted a burger and chips extra charge if you wanted help getting back to your cabin in a rough sea extra charge and as they are so cool gala evenings they resembled a second rate Rotary club dinner but with worse food and were frequented by social climbing hyacinth Buckets the cruise line have forgotten this is 2026 not 1950. I don’t know who advice is them but times have changed. It says on the literature where something that you’d wear to a smart restaurant well I gave you a lot of good res restaurants and like everybody else these days I wear jeans but cunard haven’t moved with the times neither has their food which reminded me of trust house forty menu from the seventies and tasted just as bad in fact people used to joke that THF stood
The gym was lacking ventilation and when l reported the faulty air con to the Spa manager , he was rude and aggressive to me. I walked away as it was my first morning on the ship and the last thing l want on a cruise is aggressive confrontation.
I booked 5 days acupuncture treatment but on the second treatment, the Indian doctor inserted the needle on the sole of the feet to my nerve. I had pain with pins and needles the entire cruise and it lasted for another 2-3 weeks after the cruise. There was no aftercare for my injury and the doctor insisted l continue my acupuncture.Knowing the aggressive behaviour of the Spa Manager, l requested the Customer Service officer to accompany me to the Spa that l no longer want the treatment but the manager insisted l pay for the whole cost. At no time did the manager or the doctor offer any relief for my pain and discomfort.
I requested at the Britannia restaurant for a free gluten, salt, sugar, herbs, spices , oil free diet consisting of steamed chicken, cabbage and sushi plain rice. I was given contaminated food for the first week , so l stopped going. I went to the Food Court but it required me to washed the meat with hot water before eating. On the last day at 4 pm, the Maitre De rang my cabin and invited me to the last dinner which l declined. It showed the total lack of service at Cunard.
I have booked 3 cruises with Cunard for 2026/2027 and l informed Cunard l will cancel 2 and consider cancelling the third.
There has been major changes at Queen Anne. We had pay for shuttle buses and the Bright Lights Society (funky transexual club $45 ).
The crew looked miserable and lethargic . Unappealing vibes.
I am so glad that l no longer have to pay extortion amount of money for the lack of enjoyment. I just returned from another ship and though these days cruise ship has reduced activities, which l don’t mind but l need decent appetising food and a happy crew .
Just finished our Western Caribbean cruise on Queen Elizabeth: Amazing unforgettable fine dining experience, great ballroom dancing in the Queens Room and the Yacht club, great healing in the Spa, enjoyed the entertainments.
Also enjoyed visiting Miami, a beautiful bustling city!
This is most definitely a luxury cruise line. I recommend it for older adults, more calm and quiet guests, and elderly. While children are an option, this line is not really appropriate for them and the chaos/noise/need for activities and other kid/teen type needs don’t belong in this environment. It would only be disruptive. Activities and daily events are definitely centered for a calmer group with British interests and style being a primary theme. If you have a passion for David Suchet Poirot movies, then you know automatically that that is what Cunard is like. I’m 45, traveled solo. I love the luxury. I’m a disabled vet and don’t have a lot of money, but I was able to travel and thoroughly enjoy myself. My preferences and likes are what Cunard is so it suited me very well. Definitely invest in a trip with this cruise line if the above is what you like.
Referencing another review, this cruise lasted 27 days. I have traveled with the company 22 times and enjoyed Christmas cruises twice before. However, the service in the evening dining area was dreadful, taking 2 hours for three courses. The food was also lackluster. Don't trust the other reviews claiming the food was excellent; it's pre-cooked and merely reheated before serving. The buffet offered the same repetitive options at every meal. I've encountered better meals in workplace cafeterias. The quality has significantly declined. The company is overcharging cruisers for subpar food and pricey drinks. Where have the lobster, New York steak, rib eye, sirloin, lamb shanks, escargot, and frogs' legs gone that used to be standard? It may be better in premium dining, but I traveled standard class. They no longer even ask if you'd like pepper with your meals; another cost-cutting measure. The company has gone too far with cutbacks, and after 22 cruises, I may not return.
The primary concern with this line is the food quality. It’s excessively processed at the restaurant, and there seems to be an overuse of flavor enhancers even on simple items like potatoes. Despite the menu appearing British, the gravies, sauces, and sides lack authenticity. If you have special dietary needs (like keto), this service is not suitable. Everything is geared towards processed, high-carb, low-quality options with excessive seasoning. The buffet doesn’t offer fresh fruits, only cheap, high-carb items. Drinks are overpriced—just a small amount of whiskey costs at least 10 dollars, and they automatically add tips to your bill, which you need to address with the support team. Tips for minimal service, typically delivered by unenthusiastic staff. When we inquired about the mandatory tipping, we were told that the staff doesn’t receive it. There’s no cash on board, and all transactions rely on your door card, which is quite frustrating. There’s also the usual upselling in the spa, similar to other cruise lines, despite claims of being different. The security process in the port was confusing, as we and our luggage had to go through scanners twice: once at the terminal and again boarding the ship. Regarding the ports, it was disappointing. We spent two entire days in a place with little to offer, while only a few hours were allocated to a culturally rich location. It seems they prioritize cheap docking fees over interesting destinations. This experience feels far removed from the Cunard of the past, now just part of a larger franchise, yet they continue to operate under a once-great name with a facade of quality. I would recommend steering clear.
This was my first cruise, and I found the ship to be quite elegant and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and accommodating. While the majority of passengers were retirees, which made it feel like the company primarily catered to them, there were still plenty of mid-age guests like myself. The ship offered enough space for younger guests to enjoy, though it could benefit from having a proper DJ. One of the pools was designated for adults, providing a nice, peaceful atmosphere when enforced. The food was excellent, but the strict dress code felt somewhat outdated. Thankfully, not every evening was a gala, but it was disappointing to be limited to the buffet if you lacked the 'proper' attire for special occasions. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my trip and would recommend it, particularly for those without young children.
We just finished our 26th cruise, and it was, as always, wonderful. The only downside was my upcoming knee replacement in three weeks, which limited my mobility and prevented us from going ashore like we usually do. The crew was exceptional and took great care of us. Queen Victoria remains our favorite ship, and we reconnected with many familiar faces among the staff. The food was outstanding, with just one exception when my husband encountered a tough fillet steak. Overall, it was a delightful third Christmas cruise.
Queen Ann is a beautiful vessel. However, it presents some frustrating issues during the summer months. In the specific class, you cannot walk from one end of the ship to the other on the upper decks without descending two levels to bypass the Grill facilities. Additionally, the promenade deck is obstructed by lifeboats, making it impossible to relax on the steamer chairs like on other ships. For this reason, I wouldn’t suggest Queen Ann for summer cruises; consider other options instead.
This was my first time on a cruise with this company, traveling on the Queen Anne, which departed on November 30, 2025. From the start, I suffered from intense seasickness. I've cruised before, but I've never been on a vessel that felt so unstable. Throughout the trip, there were numerous technical problems. Planned port visits were canceled, shows were disrupted, and the daily schedule was often altered. After 14 days on board, I was eager to leave. While I recognize that issues can happen at sea, the frequency and severity of the problems made this journey extremely frustrating. Eventually, the captain admitted that the ship was facing technical challenges. The rocking never ceased, and by the end of the trip, it was clear there were likely issues with the stabilizers. After one port call was missed, I reached out to guest services to ask for a day of complimentary Wi-Fi due to the ongoing difficulties. That request was turned down. We arrived a day ahead of schedule and stayed overnight on the ship docked right in front of the port. Overall, this was the most disappointing cruise experience I've ever had, and it will be my last time sailing with this service.
