I’ve used CurrencyFair for many years and normally find it by far the best option available—even after the changes to your business model in more recent times. But having to use an intermediary currency to get money to countries whose currencies you don’t trade in makes it very poor value. Gouging by the receiving bank is likely the real bogey here. I wish you would let me send money without needing to convert it in such circumstances—even with a different CF fee to compensate for your loss of currency conversion benefit.
Easy to use app, reasonably good rates. Feeling of good security. Bit if a process to get the bank accounts linked etc but has saved me a fortune over the years compared to banks. Have not really compared either Revolut but that’s cos I’m already set up & it’s just so simple to transfer money.
