Currys won't honour guarantee

I bought a tumble dryer online on the 22/11/24 ...item was not delivered until the 01/12/24.....Today is the 26/11/25 .The dryer has become faulty and so I have rung currys to arrange a repair or replacement as I have had the item for less than one year...they say the guarantee starts from the time of online purchase not delivery.....how can that be....I don't arrange what currys have in stock locally or delivery dates...I have always bought my white goods from Currys but not any more...I will use Amazon in future as I never have a problem with them when there are issues..
